About the Artist

As an artist, I strive to present new ways of seeing colors, shapes and spaces.

My current acrylic and watercolor works have been strongly influenced by Georgia O'Keefe, Vance Kirkland and Jules Otilski.

The bold, rich and senuous colors have always drawn me. Through abstract images, I encourage people to personally engage with the art. To find images from within themselves.

I often use abstract images to evoke, rather than portray. I create a place for the viewer to enter and feel the intensity of the color and shapes - both from a distance and up close .

Different images are revealed at different distances, much like the world around us.

Many of my works are done on tree-free paper. This is an alternative paper that is archival and ph neutral and is produced using no trees, bleach or dioxin .
